Chattanooga Mayor Ron Littlefield is looking for input from the City Council on his pending transitional police chief appointment.In a mem [url=https://www.cup-stanley.co.uk]stanley cup[/url] orandum e-mailed to councilmembers Friday, the mayor said he has a list of candidates that includes two retired officers from outside Chattanooga, two retired officers from the Chattanooga Police Department, one retired military officer and several current employees. The mayor s spokesman, Richard Beeland, said the memo was an effort to get the council s opinion before we waste any more time on this. He s trying to determine if the council has any parameters, he said.Mr. Beeland would not provide names of candidates being considered for the position.Councilman Manny Rico said Friday that he preferred a current police department employee for the job and that bringing in either an outsider or a retired city officer would hurt police morale.
