There are calls for a criminal investigation into allegations a high school coach accepted payoffs in return for getting a star football player to sign with the University of Alabama, reports CBS News Correspondent Cynthia Bowers. The star, Albert Means, a 19-year-old defensive lineman, announced last Friday that he was withdrawing from the university after learning his high school coach and trusted mentor Lynn Lang had allegedly been paid as much as $200,000 to get him to sign with Alabama. In his senior year, Means, a fleet-footed 300-pounder, was a force to be avoided on the high school football fields of Memphis. His coach at Trezevant High School, Lang, called him a house that moves, and ran interference as Means fielded scholarship offers from d stanley cup ozens of big time college programs before the student signed with Alabama.Milton Kirk, an assistant coach under Lang, says Lang used his position as a father figure to Means to demand huge sums of cash as well as automobiles from colleges interested in the A stanley becher ll American.Kirk said he helped Lang make the plan to get money in exchange for Means signing a National Letter of Intent, but never took any money. Joerg Sprave is YouTube pre-eminent creator of stanley termosky all things slingshot. On The Slingshot Channel, he shows off his various crazy-genius crea starbucks stanley cup tions varying from all different levels of lethality. This Sunday Sprave debuted, as he describes, the world first drill-powered, fu stanley thermobecher lly automatic dart launcher. Essentially each dart is strapped in a clothespin. Once Sprave powers on the drill, the wheel begins turning, and a specifically designed hand crank fires off the entire round. Sprave mentions that it not very accurate, and it not as lethal as some of his other borderline-scary creations, but it a neat little piece of engineering. Plus, Sprave love of creating slingshots is incredibly infectious. I don ;t know if I ever loved something as much as this guy loves building his awesome slingshot/machine gun creations.
